On my ‘Motel Void’ blog I try to focus on music that I would call ‘outsider’ and ‘obscure’. And I don’t mean it in a negative way, I absolutely love this type of music. It’s not usually for everyone, but I think if you really fall in love with such songs, the more it can affect you. But sometimes, among these types of tracks, I find a true gem that can reach much wider audience, even though it still has a certain ‘outsider’ vibe to it. That’s the case with North Carolina singer-songwriter Caroline Mason and her track That Feeling Inside.
And what does ‘That Feeling Inside‘ offer? Just perfect vocal melodies, splendid production, mesmerizing atmosphere. It’s simply a beautiful track full of emotion. I love the blend of electronic and indie music, it works really well in this case. This could easily become huge, only if Caroline Mason knew the right people lol, because that’s how it often works… When listening to this (maybe it’s the hypnotizing video) I find myself again lost on Kelso dunes somewhere in California, one of my favorite places ever. Thank you for that!
